Where the institutional money actually sits
Across $3.3tn of disclosed holdings, how is the money split by sector?
Across every fund we track, technology is the largest mapped sector, but the honest headline is a caveat: a substantial share of institutional money sits in securities outside our own coverage universe, and we would rather show you that gap than paper over it.

Live from our database. 15 rows shown.
- Q1 2026 common-stock holdings, joined to our own 1,600-company universe to attach a sector.
- Options excluded.
- The largest single row is 'Unmapped', and it is not a rounding error: it is roughly two fifths of the money. Those are ETFs, ADRs, trusts and companies outside our coverage. Any site showing you a tidy sector pie from 13F data without this caveat has quietly dropped the same rows.
- Sector labels are ours, not the SEC's. Reasonable people classify Alphabet as Technology or Communications and get different pies.
