It operates through three segments: Agency and Insurance Services; Belmont Core; and Belmont Non-Core. The company engages in sourcing, underwriting, and servicing primary and assumed reinsurance business; and providing technology, AI-enabled marketplace, and claims services. It also distributes property and general liability products for small commercial businesses and for owners of properties under construction, under renovation, vacant, or rented through a select network of wholesale general agents with specific binding authority. In addition, the company offers property and general liability niche products; property coverage for owners of collectible items; and individual treaties with small-to-medium sized financially sound insurers in niche product lines, contracted through reinsurance brokers/intermediaries. Global Indemnity Group, LLC was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
